NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Inside

accommodation at La Pergola is spread over the first and second floors of a superbly panoramic house overlooking the bay of Mazzaro'.

From the front door on street level, a flight of 20 stairs leads up to the first floor and its spacious, bright hallway opening onto a long sun-kissed terrace. The first floor is home to a double and two double/twin bedrooms, each with access to sea-view terraces. One of the double/twins has its own en-suite shower room, while the other two bedrooms share a bathroom with tub.

More stairs lead up to the open concept second floor where the views just keep getting better. At one end is the comfy living area with fireplace and access to a wonderfully panoramic terrace. In the middle is the well-equipped kitchen and at the far end, with splendid picture windows looking out to sea and over the bay of Mazzaro', is the dining area.

Outside

the terraces on both the first and second floors offer splendid views of the bay of Mazzaro' and the coastlines of Sicily and Calabria. They get the morning sun all year round and are sheltered enough to relax in a T-shirt even in mid-winter.

The beach is reached via around 140 steps from the rear of the house, and offers a wonderful beachfront restaurant. The cable car to Taormina is about 300m away.

There is no private parking at this villa, though public parking is available nearby.

The cable car up to Taormina closes for scheduled maintenance for a couple of weeks in low season but is replaced by a bus service that follows the same timetable.
