Inside

accommodation at Galatea is spread across a main house and an externally accessed garden suite. Clean contemporary lines, angular geometrical forms, a cloud-white and soothing grey palette, and an abundance of light-giving glass endow Galatea with a minimalist architectural purity. Spacious interiors spill out onto sea-view terraces creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience and an intimate connection with the timeless olive groves that surround the property.

The main entrance takes one into a generously proportioned, open-concept communal area, comprising a kitchen with long wooden work surface that morphs into a dining table, and a large L-shaped corner sofa. Banks of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors - an element that is common to all the rooms - bring in the sunlight, drink in the sea views and provide access to the terraces and pool area.

To one end of this space, a door opens into the main suite, featuring a centrally placed double bed with twin sinks behind, an en-suite bathroom and a wonderfully original shower room whose glass floor is built over the tapering extremity of the pool's crystalline waters. To the other end of the living space, a second door opens into a double-twin bedroom, complete with its own en-suite shower room, sea views and terrace access.

The garden suite is accessed via a flight of steps that lead down through the garden to a lower level. Here there is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and private terrace.

Outside

the white-grey polished concrete floors of the main house's three rooms extend outside via sliding glass doors where they are transformed into a panoramic sea-view terrace. One section of this terrace gives way to a large expanse of decking with shaded sun loungers and delimited by laminated safety glass balustrades.

Where the decking ends, the infinity pool begins. Geometrically designed as a reflex-angle foil to the house's obtuse-angle form, the pool begins with a glass edge and runs parallel to the sea before bending back towards the house, where, shallowing and with a submerged sitting ledge, it narrows, finally coming to an end under the glass-bottomed shower of the master bedroom's en-suite.

To the far end of the main house is a shaded al fresco dining area and kitchen, served by a barbecue and blessed with more fabulous sea views. From near here, around 20 steps lead down through the ancient olive groves to the garden suite, which is accessed via its own furnished terrace.

Galatea features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side, so precautions should be taken here. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

You might like to know that Galatea's pool has a single depth of 1.5m (apart from the submerged sitting section)

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

Cats may be seen in the villa grounds. However, they will not enter the house unless encouraged to do so. We ask guests not to feed them.
